Why do instructional books like "So and So For Dummies" and "The Complete Idiots Guide" name itself so?
When I first saw them, I was automatically pushed away from buying or reading any of those books because they're so demeaning. When I got older and stopped paying so much attention to the titles, they always have corny jokes inside and it's really annoying. Who the hell came up with the idea of insulting all potential buyers of something wanting to learn about something that they're unknowledgeable about?
Well I don't think they mean it in a horrible way. I think it's just saying if there was a dummy who didn't know anything about this subject they could clear it up and it is very detailed and stuff.
