Complete beginner.?

Im a complete beginner with computers, I currently have and am reading two books, Complete Idiots Guide to Computer Basics and Complete Idiots Guide to Upgrading and Repairing Your PC. What I am wanting to learn are things like how to build programs and games, network and security, how to build a computer and basically almost everything you can do with a computer Id like to learn.

The thing is I have no idea where I should start, school (even online) isnt an option for me right now, and I dont want to wait to start learning as much as I can. What I dont want to do is buy a book and learn something, when I shouldve learned something else first. Like if I study on network security, but I should read programming and practice it first, I dont want to confuse myself or set myself back.

Can anyone tell me what I should study step by step, because I really have no clue. Thanks for any help.

Remember to keep an eye on copyright materials ...(depends on countries ...where I live, we have different interpretation of copyright) and learn how to safely download...
