How do I make 11/2 margins on microsoft word 2010? What is a number/2 mean for formatting purposes?
I'm learning how to write screenplay format before I begin using screenwriting software. The left margin is supposed to be 11/2. Also the "Screen writing for dummies" book also calls for other page reference points for CHARACTER NAME at 21/2 inches from the left margin, DIALOGUE 21/2 inches from left hand side of page (1 inch from left margin), 61/2 inches from the left hand side of the page (5 inches from the left margin), PARENTHETIC ALS 31/2 inches from left hand side of the page (2 inches from left margin. I don't understand what the fraction by 2 is and how to use it as a formatting measurement in Microsoft Word.
When you're looking at 1/2 it's .5 so you have to change it to 1.5, 2.5, 6.5, etc. You would access this via Page Layout/Margins.
