Is Music Theory for Dummies any good? Has anyone read it?

I have the AB books, but they can be a little dry in places. I've found some of the Dummies music books good in the past, but I'm aware that this book is written with american terminology. If it's just a case of the note names being different that's not a problem, but has anyone read it and please could you tell me if the UK/US differences are a problem anywhere else?

Read it, don't know about differences between US/ UK - For me the difficulty was always keeping the Italian terms straight.
I found the book a good refresher and it took me past what I had learned when I studied years ago- learning a new instrument now and need to get myself up to speed.

When you say note names different are you referring to fixed vs movable? Because the book covered both.
