Jewelry Making For Dummies

jewelry making for dummies
Step by step.........trying to figure this out...?

I'd like some baby steps, detailed for dummies steps on this problem. As I can't find any information that can explain it to me in detail. (If anyone knows of some good websites for understanding this type of math better-that would be great!)

"Anne and Nancy use a metal alloy that is 17.75% copper to make jewelry. How many ounces of a 12% alloy must be mixed with a 27% alloy to form 60 ounces of the desired alloy?"

A 28
B 39
C 37
D 17

I am not necessarily looking for the answer, I would rather have help on the formula and detailed information so that I can learn how to do this type of math. Thanks.
