Advice about book on the universe?

Hi guys, I am looking for a comprehensive book about the universe. The most up to date version out there and I would like it to include information on the history of space, our solar system, other galaxies and stars, info on dark matter and dark energy, black holes, super novas, size, travel distance, ect. I am not a math guy so I am NOT looking for anything technical, more of a layman version, but not something for dummies, more of a college level layman version. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Yep read Brief History of Time, looking for something that is more of a detailed overview of the universe. Thanks anyway.

There's a good text that I use when I teach Astronomy 101 at the local community college -- "The Cosmic Perspective" by Bennett, Donahue, etc. It is now in its 6th edition, but the 5th edition is still good. It covers all you're asking for above with a minimum of mathematics; each chapter can be read on its own; there are some mathematical asides if you want to be adventurous.

I think you can get a 5th edition from online booksellers used for as little as $5.
