Bible Study For Dummies

[simpleaffiliate source="chitika" results="0"][/simpleaffiliate]

JEWS: What edition of the TORAH do you recommend to me ?

Is "The Jewish Study Bible" by The Jewish Publication Society OK? (That one I have). Is there another that would be cool to read? I also have "The Torah for Dummies"(Arthur Kurzwell).

Artscroll stone edition would be a good one.

Earth Science For Dummies

[simpleaffiliate source="chitika" results="0"][/simpleaffiliate]
earth science for dummies
What implications does the photon belt present us and when, if at all, does Earth enter the belt?

I've heard and read some things about the photon belt, but none of it is conclusive. Some sources say that the extreme concentration of photon energy will disrupt all electrical devices on Earth and some sources say it will push Earth into an estheric (spelling?) dimension. Other sources say that it will take the Earth 2000 years to move through this belt and then other sources say that we have already entered the photon belt. Other sources are just ridiculous. To be honest, I still don't know what the photon belt is exactly and whether it holds any implications for life on Earth at all. How big is this belt and how did it form? How long will it last and has the Earth ever passed through it before? If so, how long does one cycle last? I need someone to really dumb this down for me; like a "Photon belt for dummies" book. No rocket science please.

There is no such THING as the PHOTON BELT. In fact it is actually a theory. The only thing like that is a solar flare from the sun. Photons are particles of light and energy and wouldn't effect anything on Earth.
PS, the photon belt is actually a band of energy from the sun, ie, although it is theoretical I still know a bit about it although it is very little. The sun gives off solar flares but theoretically it gives off a rounded wave or a blast wave that slows down and this band is invisible and orbits around the sun. It isn't actually to do with photons, it is to do with energy although it is on the electromagnetic light spectrum. It contains electrons but is relative to and is related to plasma and energy physics this effects the Earth the same way as a solar flare does so the "solar wave" or the so called "photon belt" physically a belief of when all equipment went and goes down.
I beleve there isn't one but we are always make up theories and beliefs of things to understand anomalies.

How Do I Help My Baby To Sleep Better?

Sleeping problems are often caused by poor sleeping associations created unknowingly by parents. A sleep association is something that a baby learns that signals sleep to them. But this is easily corrected, especially when they are still a few months old. Sleep is a high priority for all new parents. As every parent knows, the early days can be really difficult, as babies are up every few hours in the night looking for a feed. Some babies sleep really well from the outset, but these children are rare indeed. The majority of parents experience difficulties with sleep deprivation, and unfortunately for some, this can last well into the toddler years and beyond. So how do you create a better sleeping environment for your baby? There are lots of things you can do to help create the right sleep associations and avoid the bad ones. A sleep association is essentially what the baby associates with going to sleep - in other words it is a learned response. Babies are clever because they get to know these associations by repitition - the more you do a certain behaviour before they sleep, the more they associate that behaviour with sleep itself. So for example, if you always bath the baby before bedtime, they will get to know in time that bathtime signals sleep time. The trick is to create sleep associations which work without reliance on the parent to help the child to sleep, Some examples of poor sleep associations includes: - rocking baby to sleep - holding baby to sleep - patting/stroking baby - nursing or feeding baby to sleep - use of a dummy Why are these poor sleep associations? Because they work by allowing the baby to rely on either you or a pacifier to help them sleep. This creates long-term problems because each time your child wakes at night, they will require your assistance to help put them back to sleep. Imagine you always rock baby to sleep. As wonderfully nurturing as it seems, what will you do when the child gets older and heavier and puts pressure on your back because you are struggling to rock your toddler to sleep - something that can take an hour or so in some cases? The best solution is creating sleep associations that do NOT rely on you to help them sleep. These can include: - creating a routine - winding down - dimming the lights and speaking softly - placing tired baby in cot in the dark and calming them down by speaking softly and not picking them up - differentiating between night and day - removing the dummy before baby falls asleep - never allowing baby to sleep in your arms - always let baby sleep in the cot These are just some suggestions, but there are many other things you can and should do to improve sleep. If you stick to your guns, you should see an improvement in sleep patterns within a week, and certainly within two weeks. With older children, you may need to resort to sleep training methods to help them sleep soundly. Learning the correct behaviour takes time, but the above mentioned ideas are the best way to help a newborn learn the correct sleep habits that will set them up for a lifetime.

Diet 4 Dummies-Lose 9lbs In 11 Days Guaranteed!

Before I give you a review about Idiot Proof Diets (more commonly known as Fat Loss 4 Idiots), let me tell you some things with my self.

• I absolutely hate exercising. I am a mother of 4 kids so who needs to wake up extra early just to shower. Who has time to go to the gym? I know I don't

• I love my liquor. Need to have at least a glass of something with alcohol content a day.

• You can never, in a million years, ask me to eat just rabbit food.

• I am a food person. Food and I never had a love-hate relationship. I always loved food and food most definitely loved me back.

Now that you know something about me, let me tell you how I lost 9.4 pounds in 11 days. By using Idiot Proof Diets. I know this may sounds like a shameless plug but I cannot help it. I absolutely adore the product! Here is how it works:

• It asks you what type of diet do you want, regular or vegetarian. No brainer here if you ask me.

• The program then asks you to list 14 food items you love.

• It will then generate a report scheduling how you will eat your meals.

• There are 4 meals in a day, each meal 2.5 hours away from each other.

• Eat only until you are satisfied and not until you are full.

• Do this for 11 days.

• Idiot Proof Diets suggest trying walking every now and then. (This is recommended but not required)

• After 11 days, you have 3 rest days where you have a free pass to deviate from your diet. But do not overdo it!

I used the product right after my kids left the house to visit their grandparents for a few weeks in Vermont. I hate the cold so I decided to stay and give myself some "me" time. I read books, I watched documentaries that I could not watch before since my kids were always hogging the living room TV, I did my gardening, I redecorated the family room and all these activities I did while doing Idiot Proof Diets. Not one bit did I ever felt hungry or deprived of energy unlike other dieting programs that I tried. In fact I always felt quite satisfied because I was eating every 2.5 hours. The best part was I was eating food that I liked; it even gave me the liberty of choosing how I cook this food listed in my program. Talk about maximum freedom.

You will most definitely lose 9 pounds in 11 days with Idiot Proof Diets. This is guaranteed because this system is very easy to stick to, that even an idiot can follow it (as the title of the program appropriately says). You get to eat what you want, you get to cook them the ways you want and you even get a free pass to let lose after 11 days! How can you go wrong? And the fantastic thing is, so long as you stick to this dummy-proof plan, you will end up losing 9 pounds the way I did!

Parenting For Dummies

[simpleaffiliate source="chitika" results="0"][/simpleaffiliate]

How do we start to wean our 1-year-old off the dummy (pacifier).?

My wife and I seem to have made a rod for our own backs by always giving our little girl, Jasmine, a dummy (pacifier) whenever she is a bit grouchy or tired. Now she won't go to sleep at night without it, although she does sleep perfectly with it. Also when she's happy, which is most of the time, she isn't that interested in the dummy unless offered it directly.

This is far from a desparate situation but we both feel that it would be better if she relied on the dummy less over the next year or so rather than more which I would presume woud happen if we let it.

I'm sure there must be plenty of parents out there with tried and tested techniques for dummy use reduction so I thought, rather than trying to "re-invent the wheel" and work it out ourselves, I'd put this out to the Yahoo community.

Thanks

Brian (London)

I think it's a little too soon to take it away. I would try to limit it to when she is sick or sleepy, but if she really wants it..it's OK to give it to her. It wont affect her teeth at this point.

When you do decide to get rid of it (I suggest around 15-18 months old-wait until there are no vacations or things like that). Do it cold-turkey. We told my older son (he was 17 months old) the "pa" is all gone. It broke my heart the first night. He cried and cried and so did I. The next night he asked for it and we said "all gone"...he cried for about a minute. He never asked for it after that (and never cried about going to sleep either). We are approaching that point with my second son (probably next month or so) and will do it the same way.

Writing Childrens Books For Dummies

[simpleaffiliate source="chitika" results="0"][/simpleaffiliate]
[simplecontent lang="" source="flickr"]writing childrens books for dummies[/simplecontent]
If you can't understand the Bible, what book should you read?

I know there is a bible for dummies, but what i'm looking for is the Bible written more simpler. Is there such thing? Or am I suppost to get some kinda cliff notes for the bible and try to figure it out on my own? Anyone know. I did look up the bible for dummies but it is not he bible written simpler it is telling....
Where did the Bible come from?
Who wrote the Bible?
How is the Bible put together?
Should I get a childrens bible?
This has nothing to do with IF I can read or not. It's funny how people judge so fast over a question on YA. Pretty sad! If you have nothing wise or nice to say you obviously need to go find God. Get some Jesus in your life...... then we can talk.

If you are wanting to know God and to have a relationship with Him, the Bible is the book to read. I completely understand that it can be complicated and hard to understand at times, but sometimes you just have to concentrate and re-read. Also, pray about it. If you are really wanting to understand it, the Holy Spirit will be there for you. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Use Cases For Dummies

[simpleaffiliate source="chitika" results="0"][/simpleaffiliate]
use cases for dummies
Is there a term used for dummy internet sites having only header of a subject but no information?

There are some internet terms such as "troll" for silly messages or "spam" for advertisement mails. I wonder if there is such a term for this case, this is also very common.
When I search a keyword on a search engine, lets suppose "Spanish"; there are some web pages having text like:
"learning Spanish, Spanish grammar, Spanish dictionary, Spanish movies, Spanish spelling..... etc."
But there is no information about any of these subjects.
I guess they are making so for having advertisement income for each hit they get on their site.
Is there a common term used for such kind of sites?
Thanks for answers....

Affiliate Marketing Dummies Style – Taking the Easy Road to Online Income

When you want to learn the basic steps to a good affiliate marketing opportunity, one of the best ways to learn the ropes is by investing in an affiliate marketing dummies style program. You want a proven program that really teaches you what you need to know in easy-to-understand language, and one that shows you how to make it work to produce a consistent income.

Where can you find such a program?

From a super affiliate guru?

No, don't start there. In my opinion, there's just too many gurus and wanna be gurus offering you their "get rich quick" schemes that are disguised as a business plan. Many people get frustrated when they buy into a plan that promises to give them the keys to success online, but they only end up getting the keys to nowhere.

Hype just doesn't equal success, unless, of course, the guru can back up what they say. A quality affiliate based, best business, home income opportunity does not have to wallow in superficial hype, but can stand on it's own merits.

Instead of looking for a very basic "how to make money online" book, you should look for something more specific like a system that teaches you how to build free affiliate websites that make money automatically.

In fact, many now successful affiliate marketers started out using free blogs and websites that promote products. The key to making an easy system like this work, however, is to get some expert guidance that can show you how to pick products, how to build a site, how to understand this whole keyword thing, etc.

And, the only way you're going to learn how to do this system the right way, is to start from the very beginning with a tutorial that is designed for people who know practically nothing about affiliate marketing.

I like the dummies way of learning things. It really takes the pressure off of having to feel like you're already supposed to know how to do xyz, when you've never done anything with xyz. A lot of affiliate guru books are like this. They give you general information, but leave a lot of details out.

But, that's okay, because you don't need their information anyway. There are some average Joe's online that can show you everything you need to know about affiliate marketing, and have you up and running in no time. Keep an eye out for these kind of marketers, because they are like finding a golden needle in a haystack – very rare.
