My Social Media Campaign – Part 4




Since my trip to The Philippines to visit my team of Outsourcers, things have evolved dramatically. My original Virtual Assistant, Nowen, has left to pursue further studies and has now become a CAD Engineer (I told you that these girls were talented). She has been replaced by Jasmine who is everything that Nowen was.......enthusiastic, hard working and inventive.




Like Nowen, Jasmine has continued to maintain and improve my Facebook and Twitter accounts. She also posts blogs, submits my articles to the best article sites, edits videos and assists with additions to my websites. Jasmine is also a good "sounding board" and has a lot of good ideas. She researches keywords, implements SEO strategies, creates backlinks and does some social bookmarking to keep me up near the top for Google searches.




As mentioned in a previous article, it is great to employ a fulltime VA who works in a team environment as each individual Outsourcer possesses a different set of skills. So if Jasmine gets stuck on a project she can seek help and learn from a co worker. Gee Joy and Dan spend many hours training their workers and building teamwork. During my time in The Philippines I saw this teamwork and camaraderie in action and was very impressed by the "family" atmosphere.




It has now been 5 months since my trip to The Philippines. I still stay in touch with Nowen on Facebook and, hopefully, we will one day meet up again. Who knows, we may even work together again in the future. Nowen and I have become good friends.




Meanwhile, Jasmine and I have also become good friends and we are now beginning to monetise our online presence by offering our expertise in Social Media and Marketing. We now offer professional Facebook and Twitter set up and design for Small Businesses. This can be done for clients all over the world........and, at the right price! Our package can get you going within a couple of days, even if you know nothing about Social Media and don't even have a Facebook account.  And no, you do not need to hire a fulltime VA like I do. VA's can be hired to complete a project whether it is for a day, a month or a year. You choose the work to be done based on your budget.




I've come a long way since November 2010. I am no longer a Social Media Dummy. I am certainly not a Guru, but I do know what this "Social Media thing" is all about. And it is this......Engage with people, provide great information, answer their questions, be truthful and honest, gain their trust. Do all of this for free before you attempt to sell anything to them. After all, it's not called Social Media for nothing.




And, as for Virtual Assistants.......my advice? Try a VA and see what you think. Not all of them are great, but many of them will be a good fit for your business.  What have you got to lose?
