How does this PayPal verification work?

I'm really lost on how to verify my account I just signed up for on PayPal.
I believe that it is suppose to send a deposit into your bank account to make sure that it was your account, but where can I find out that they have made the deposit?

It's been two business days I suppose, since the last day that I signed up for PayPal.
And they have sent me an e-mail (yes, it had both my first and last name, so it wasn't a fake)
and I don't know where to look or where to find that they have made a deposit.

And if you know, make it short and sweet.
If you could, it would be lovely to give me a guide.
(It's my first time with PayPal, so don't think that I'm an idiot or something.)

I forgot to mention that I'm using Debit.
Is it still the same with Credit ?

PayPal charges something like $2 to your credit card. It will be re-deposited to your credit card shortly after.
