Connecting Guitar Amp to Computer for dummies?

Pretty much what the title say's, when it comes to trying to get studio sound out of my amp, I am completely illiterate. I need your help! I have a Marshall MG100HDFX with a emulated line out. I'm not sure what I need to do, and if I did plug it into my computer would it sound like what I hear through the emulated sound with headphones? Any help would be awesome! Please and Thank you.

well your amp has the lineout and all that so you need a balanced 1/4 to 1/8 cable and plug it into your computers line in. It will sound the same as long as the lineout is balanced which im not sure on but since ist a newer one it should be balanced.
