my neighbor lent me a parakeet book by the dummies book people ,i misplaced it and i cannot find it,~~~~!?

so i felt that being as i accidently lost it i went out and got her the same exact book,in fact it was the last copy! i brought it back home and gave it to her,and instead of saying thank you for replacing the book,i get this--oh,its the wrong book,the one i gave you was a hardcover book then she said some pretty insulting things to me.i called the bookstore where i got the book and asked the clerk if the book came in hardcover and he said ive been selling books for six years and that book does not come in hardcover! ahh,i said to myself,shes throwing the bull at me and thinks i "stole" that book! should i let her insults go over my head and let a good friendship go sour all because of a stupid book? im afraid that shes going to haunt me by saying "have you found my missing book "? she wont let me rest,all because i missplaced her book! ive turned my room upsidedown looking for that book,i cant remember where i put it! and this goofball wont let me alone! what am i going to do .

Wow ...she sounds really weird.
I'd let the relationship go sour, she sounds like a real nut case.
Tell her what the bookstore person said and be done with her.
