ASVAB Tips and Advice -HELP!!?

Hey folks.. I'm freaking out big time, Im taking the ASVAB September 16, 2010
and at the moment Im currently studying my butt off so i can score really well on. I was just wondering, I have the ASVAB book for dummies and im doing the questions on the back of the book and find it kinda hard..My concern is..Is the ASVAB questions and the question on the back of the book the same? or they're just making the book more complicated so that way were more advance?

I'll tell you straight up that the questions asked in the ASVAB for Dummies book are nearly identical to what is asked on the actual ASVAB - I am speaking from a place of experience. I was so glad that I used that specific book to study from because I was totally and absolutely prepared. The questions were so entirely identical that in many cases, you could simply swap out one word for another!

The good news is that while you may find the questions challenging at the end of the book, you are basically looking at an exact prototype of the ASVAB, so you already KNOW what's going to be on it my friend. Your best bet is not to start at the end, but go to the beginning of each and every math topic and read and work out the problems as they are shown. The book explains exactly how to do each and every problem. If there's any topic(s) you cannot grasp, trust me when I tell you to simply move on and not waste valuable study time. Do the same thing on the actual exam too. Why? Because it's better to know a few things WELL (because they will ask you multiple questions on a given topic), than to know a lot of things halfway. Halfway will not serve you at all in this situation. So, learn the stuff WELL that you find easy FIRST, then move on to the harder stuff that you have to work for.

Get a math tudor if need-be. It'll be well worth the money spent! Don't waste your time studying any of the other sections except MATH. Feel free to email me if you have questions. I took the ASVAB a few months ago and scored an 82 with only a few hours of study time using this book!
