Is there an idiots guide for a fat man, with man boobs, to get a defined body quickly?

I am fed up with being fat, and with having man boobs! I hate being too embarrased to go shirtless on the beach.

Today, I set myself the goal of changing that forever. I need to loose about 60 pounds, and I ultimately want to end up with a 6-pack and nicely defined muscles. - something for the beach!

I have just joined a gym.

Unfortunately, there is so much conflicting information about which excersizes to do, I dont know where to start.
I keep reading that people spend needless hours in gyms doing all the wrong excersizes, and ending up with dissapointing results. I really want to avoid falling into the same trap.

Is there a guide or book out there that will help me achieve my goal quickly and efficiently?


yes. first start walking or jogging about 6 times a week for about 20-30 minutes. you dont need to do anything crazy but just something to get the blood pumping. and to help out start doing some weight training. you should do weight training on certain mucles about once/twice a week, why? because it takes a long time for muscle recovery. when doing upper body work your bi's one day and your tri's and chest another (dont work both muscles on the same day). when doing weight lifting you only need to do that for about 30-40 minutes a day. you can choose the exercises you are most comfortable with (i recommend bench, bicep curls, 21's, skull crushers, dips, kick backs, ect) when lifting weights you can to mix up your routine, meaning do heavy weights with low reps one day and light weights with lots of reps another. and you need to do that to all muscle groups, rotate it up becuase otherwise you wont get very far. i also recommend doing some squats to help build your leg muscles and burn more fat as well. there are different types of leg exercises you can do but if you are jogging most of the time, its not too needed but will help. make sure you are eating right and getting plenty of protein. and also make sure you get lots of rest and always remember when building muscles, your muscles grow on your days you dont weight lift...hope that helps
