how do i run linux on my tungsten e?

i came across a youtube video of a tungsten e running linux. i would appreciate an 'idiot's/dummies' type of guide on linux, how to install it etc. i also want to know where i can find programs that i can use once linux is installed in my tunsgten. thank you.

This isn't exactly an "Idiot's Guide", as it wasn't not intended to be something that a "newbie" would understand (though I understand most of it). But it mostly seems to be just executing a couple commands in the console, and "compiling", where most of the work is done for you.
