ARCGIS for dummies??
hey all,
am looking for helpful pointers for beginners to learn about ARCGIS....need some quick tips to pick up myself, cuz need to apply it ASAP with a couple others of air modeling softwares.
ive been to esri.com, but there is soo much to it, a bit overwhelming, that im confused to where to start first???
and would it be correct to say, ARCGIS is pretty much like google earth? or im underestimating?
thanks!
and....how long would you give someone (avg speed), to learn from the basics to application level?
tq surfingbraun- i almost gonna delete this question...til you came...
more answerssss pleaseee....
First of all GIS is not like google Earth. GIS is an information database represented spatially or in a map. You need to take ESRI's intro to ArcMap's software course to learn the basics. This will help you considerably. Now when it comes to understanding GIS you are on your own.......Geography degree!!
