Membership sites using perl scripts how do I intergrate that with my website software?

So after searching online for template scripts that were already written I found this site http://www.bytesinteractive.com/quickregister.htm
that has a MySQL quickregister download. Now I downloaded it and I got a zip folder. In the zip folder was Internet Explorer Icons and other folders with stuff I didnt know what to do with.
So, I read enough to know that I have to upload i__________ (something)straight to my directory which I use godaddy.com so that should be hard enough. But, I'm confused with this if I upload that zip file that contains the "magic" quick register. Then All I have to do with my Web Easy Pro web design software is what? I'm using pay pal as my subscriber. Can anyone explain to a non IT informed individual or direct me to a link for dummies to do this thank you???

I looked briefly at the site that you got the zip files from. This is basically a bunch of code, and a bunch of templates. The templates have all the HTML which is the stuff you want to change. Don't change the code unless you know PERL.

You probably can't upload just a zip file to your site. You will need to read a lot more and figure out were to put this. Most likely it will go someplace under the cgi-bin directory. So unpack it and read a bit more so you know what directory it can go in. It might be able to go anywere.

It says it works with MySQL which is a database. Your ISP needs to enable MySQL for you. Probably you just use your web browser and log into your account and create the database.

You will need to tell the code somehow what the name of the database is. You will need to read more to find that out.

Now you can edit the templates and customize it to your liking.

I think this will take a long time if you are not used to web stuff. Do you have a friend that you can buy a pizza and they will help you for an hour or 2? If they know any web programming languages that would help alot.
