Which book to read first to learn Visual Basic?
I am trying to decide over these books to read first to learn Visual Basic here are the names of the books.
Microsoft Visual Basic 2008 Step by Step
Sams Microsoft Visual Studio 2008
Visual Basic 2005 for Dummies
Wrox Visual Basic 2008
Sybex Mastering Microsoft Visual Basic 2008
Visual Basic 2005 Express Edition for Dummies
Wrox Professional Refactoring in Visual Basic
Please help me decide.
I actually own several of the books in your list. If you are a beginner programmer in Visual Basic 2008, I would recommend two:
(1) Sybex Mastering Microsoft Visual Basic 2008 - it is a very easy book to follow and gives great detail for each topic that is presented.
(2) Microsoft Visual Basic 2008 Step by Step - this book is great for beginners. It teaches the necessary basics for a basic understanding of Visual Basic 2008. It is just not as detailed as #1.
Please feel free to contact me for other great FREE resources for learning Visual Basic 2008 such as tutorials, videos, etc. My email is: chris.towe@yahoo.com
